DicQuiz is operated by Ernst Saingilles.

2. Data We Process

When a person uses DicQuiz, with or without an account, we may process the data necessary to provide the practice experience. In the case of registered users, we may also process the following data associated with their account:

• Name.
• Email address.
• Interface language and selected practice languages.
• Learning progress.
• Completed exercises and parts.
• Attempts and results associated with practice.
• Basic information received from Google when the user chooses to sign in with Google, in accordance with the authorized permissions.

DicQuiz uses a necessary cookie to maintain the user's session and authentication.

3. How We Use Data

We use this data only to operate DicQuiz and provide its functions, including:

• Create and maintain the user's account.
• Allow sign-in.
• Remember language preferences.
• Save and display learning progress.
• Manage practice results and attempts.
• Handle requests related to the account, privacy, or support.
• Maintain the operation and security of the service.

In the MVP, DicQuiz does not use email for marketing.

4. Analytics and Advertising

Currently, DicQuiz does not use third-party analytics tools or advertising cookies.

It also does not use Meta Pixel, Google Ads, or other tracking systems for advertising purposes.

5. External Providers

DicQuiz uses external providers necessary to operate the service:

• Vercel, to host the frontend.
• Render, to host the API and PostgreSQL database.
• Google, when the user chooses to sign in with Google.

These providers may process the information necessary to provide their respective services.

6. International Processing

Some providers used by DicQuiz may process data in countries other than the user's country of residence.

DicQuiz uses external providers to operate the service and seeks to work with services that apply appropriate security measures to their infrastructure.

7. Data Retention

As long as an account remains active, DicQuiz retains the data necessary to maintain the account and its progress.

When an account is deleted, the active data associated with that account will be deleted from our systems. This includes, among other things, the name, email address, learning profiles, progress, and associated attempts.

Backups may temporarily retain information until their normal retention and deletion cycle is completed.

8. Data Requests

The user may request:

• Access to their data.
• Correction of their data.
• Deletion of their data.
• Information about how their data is used.

While these functions are not available directly within DicQuiz, requests can be made by writing to contact@dicquiz.com.

9. Security

DicQuiz applies reasonable security measures to protect personal data and user sessions.

10. Minors

DicQuiz is intended for people aged 13 or older.

DicQuiz is not specifically directed to children under 13. Underage users must use the service with the authorization or supervision of a parent or guardian where required by applicable law.

11. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when DicQuiz changes.

The most recently published version will be the version in force.
